Why the Fuck?
It costs money to run our shit. Right now, I am paying out of pocket for the server electrical, Internet, and maintenance. Unfortunately, my budget is incredibly small, which leaves me little manueverability when it comes to emergencies.
What the Fuck?
Right now, we are in need of (in order of priority):
- Datacenter-quality Uninterruptable Power Supplies: $200-500 on Newegg, depending on number of outlets and VA rating
- New Database/File server: $300-1000 on eBay, depending on specs, may not include repair costs and HDD upgrades
- New KVM Switch (at least 8 ports): Still looking
- Rackmountable Power Strips: $50 on newegg
- Better internet connection: >$100 a MONTH + Setup fees since ISPs charge me to upgrade their own 80s-era infrastructure
PN Adspace
You may notice at the top of the site that there are some banner ads. We run our own ad server using OpenX. Ad placement is available, but there is a price. This charge is one-time, you will not have to pay monthly dues.
Email N3X15 with the subject of Ad Placement and the proposed ad, link and zone(s) (Main site, wiki, Pastebin, etc) and, upon approval, you will be given Paypal details.
You will only be charged once ($10 USD) for each ad, which can run as long as you wish and display/link to whatever the fuck you want as long as it sticks to guidelines.
GUIDELINES

- They must be 468px x 60px in order to be run in any PN zone.
- No illegal/furry/moralfag/gaiafag/etc content.
- Links must be to legal and non-furfag/moralfag/gaiafag/etc sites.
Overall Site Demographics
As one may expect, most of our site users are English-speaking gamers (18-25 agegroup) with a moderate to high level of technical knowledge.
- Most visitors are from the United States of America (Approximately 75%)
- Around 24% are from Europe.
- Most site users are NOT interested in Second Life-related products.
- An overwhelming majority of site users browse with Firefox 2.x/3.x and approximately half use an Open Source operating system (Piwik preliminary findings).
